The Fist 16kTEU Container Ship of DACKS Completes the Steel-cutting

The Steel-cutting ceremony of DE135, first 16kTEU container ship of DACKS was completed on the morning of July 18, 2023.

DE135 is the first of five 16,000TEU container ships built by DACKS for OOCL, an internationally renowned ship owner company. The ship is 366.9 meters long, 51 meters wide, 30.2 meters deep, the design speed of 23.1 knots, with a fully suspended rudder and horizontal fins, with high energy saving, superior operational performance, good anti-bubble corrosion effect. In particular, the ship takes into account the yield and buckling strength of the cargo hold under "single empty" conditions, using high-strength and extremely thick anti-crack steel, and is equipped with a low-pressure SCR system to meet the requirements of NOX III. The overall design of the ship has the characteristics of energy saving, safety, environmental protection and intelligence, and meets the requirements of the third stage of the Ship Energy Efficiency Design Index, which is a typical representative of the new generation of high-performance large container ships.
